After School Club
After School Club is a night of talks by young illustrators and designers organised by Lizzy Stewart. Artists will talk about their work, methods and experiences following graduation and there will be the chance for discussion afterwards. After School Club is open to anyone. Hurrah.

So the After School Club has been and gone and, with huge relief, I can say that it was a massive success. Thanks to the many people who came along and also to the speakers, all of whom did an incredible job! Keep your eyes peeled for any future events but in the meantime you can check out the photos on Flickr.

Jez Burrows - www.jezburrows.com
Jez Burrows is a freelance print/web designer and illustrator based in Edinburgh who graduated from the University of Brighton this summer. He works with illustrator Lizzy Stewart as Sing Statistics and writes for design blog It's Nice That. His clients include the New York Times, Bad Idea Magazine and Lawrence Zeegen alongside several successful personal print projects such as the Modern Listener's Guide series.
Stuart Kolakovic - www.stuartkolakovic.co.uk
Stuart Kolakovic is an illustrator who graduated from Kingston University in 2007. Since then he has worked for clients as varied as Barclays Bank, The Guardian, Sony and the Marine Conservation Society. He is also working a graphic novel for Johnathan Cape and has self published a number of his own comics.

The Nous Vous collective are a group of four designers an illustrators based in Leeds. Their work has been applied to film, installation, animation and print with clients ranging from Urban Outfitters to the band Sky Larkin. They have also organized events such as the monthly shop/gallery 'Sunday Club'.

Alex Ostrowski graduated from UWE this year as a Graphic Designer. He has since worked for agencies and studios all over London in including YCN, Big Active and Think Public. He was nominated for a D&AD award for his book 'Note To Self' a book of tear-out posters which he hopes will remind him of the things her forgets from day to day. His final year work focused on Graphic Design's ability to do good.

Plats are an ever expanding community of artists (illustrators, designers and photographers) set up to create, collaborate and promote founded by Sophia Augusta and Emily Robertson. Their varied work has had all manner of applications from Marks & Spencer's walls to Hitherto's bags and most recently been seen in their self-curated London show 'Plats & Friends".
